Chido Govera grew up in poverty in rural Zimbabwe. Her mother died of AIDS when she was seven, exposing her to physical abuse from relatives while she struggled to care for her grandmother and younger brother. Now in her early thirties, Chido founded The Future of Hope NGO, helping hundreds of communities around the world transform their lives through mushroom farming.
